The evening of March 29, 1999, a few hours after celebrating Palm Sunday, Aspinwall Presbyterian Church's turn of the century building burned to a shell. The congregation was resilient and constructed a brand new sanctuary building which incorporates the original church bell tower. In 2002 they contracted with Luley & Associates to build a new two-manual organ for their worship space. The resulting instrument is 13 ranks of pipes with a versatile and flexible specification, employing judicious borrowing to allow the best use of color. The placement of the instrument in a loft above the chancel allows for optimal tonal egress, and the instrument fills the space with a warm, rich sound. console sits behind a screen in the choir chancel area.
